01The group

Create the trip and invite the group with a link.

Give it a name and a destination, set the dates or open a poll to choose them, and share the link or the code. Everyone joins from their phone and the trip belongs to the whole group.

02Decisions

Vote on dates, destinations or plans and decide together.

Everyone marks what works for them and the count updates instantly. Nobody sees who marked what. If there is a tie, the group opens a second round.

Keep the plan and your booking details in one place.

What you decide goes into the plan, with who takes care of each thing. See it day by day or as a calendar, with flights and accommodation at hand. Note down your bookings (reference, times, notes) and, during the trip, today shows you what is on now.

Choose what you are looking for (the whole trip, flights, where to stay, where to eat or things to do) and awayly prepares proposals using your trip's destination and dates.

  • Whole trip: flights, a place to stay and a plan for each day, with links to their sources.
  • Each proposal can be added to the plan or put to a vote. Nothing changes until you confirm it.
  • Prices and times are approximate: check them before booking.
  • Before your first request, we tell you what is sent to OpenAI and ask for your permission. Your names are not sent.
  • A limited number of queries per trip.
Trip album

All the trip photos, in one place.

Everyone uploads theirs from their phone and the group sees them straight away, sorted by day. No more asking for photos in the chat.

  • Take them with the camera or pick them from the gallery.
  • Before they are published, we reduce their size and remove the location data.
  • Share the album with a link: it can be viewed and downloaded in the browser for 3 days.
  • If a photo should not be there, you can report it, and the trip organiser can delete it.

How much does it cost?
Creating the trip, inviting the group, deciding, planning and splitting costs is free for the whole group. awayly Plus is coming soon: a €9.99 pass per trip, VAT included, that one person buys and the whole group uses, with 20 AI requests that search the web, 30 documents to import bookings or scan receipts, and 300 photos. Without a pass, every trip will still get 3 AI requests (one of them with a web search, once there are two of you) and 30 photos for free, to try it. During closed testing, AI and photos are free within limits. It is not on sale yet.
Does it have ads?
No, and it never will. awayly is paid for with the Plus pass, not with advertising, and it does not sell your data.
Can I book flights or accommodation from awayly?
No. awayly does not book or move money. The AI can look up flights and places to stay with links to their sources, but you make the booking yourselves; then you store its details (reference, times, notes) in the plan.
When will it be available?
The Android version is in closed testing on Google Play and the iPhone version is in review for the App Store. It cannot be freely downloaded yet.
Which languages is it in?
Spanish, Catalan and English. You change it from Settings.
Can I use it to split costs between friends?
Yes. You note down each expense, also in other currencies, split it between whoever it applies to and awayly works out each person's balance. awayly does not move money: it only keeps the accounts.
How do you decide the trip dates?
With a poll: everyone marks the dates that work for them, the count updates instantly and, if there is a tie, the group opens a second round. What is decided goes straight into the plan.
Does the app remind you what is next?
Yes. The evening before, at 8 pm destination time, everyone who is going gets tomorrow's plan: times, check-in and check-out, and when to leave for each journey. On the day, another reminder comes before each journey. It also reminds you about votes that close in less than 24 hours and, to whoever is in charge, about pending bookings.
What does the AI do?
It prepares proposals for your trip: the whole trip with flights, a place to stay and a plan for each day, or just where to stay, where to eat or what to do. Each proposal can be added to the plan or put to a vote. Nothing changes until you confirm it, and prices and times are approximate. The app shows how many AI requests and web searches you have left. If a reply is wrong or offensive, you can report it from the app.
What data does the AI receive?
The AI is provided by OpenAI, a provider based in the United States. It receives your request (what you are looking for, the day, the origin and anything you type) and the trip details: name, destinations, accommodation, dates, plan, polls and bookings, plus how many of you there are and when each person arrives and leaves. awayly does not send it your names, booking references, expenses or photos. Before your first request, the app explains this and asks for your permission.
Can we share the trip photos?
Yes. Everyone uploads theirs and the group sees them all in an album sorted by day. You can also share the album with a link: whoever gets it can view and download the photos in their browser for 3 days. If someone uploads a photo that should not be there, you can report it, and the trip organiser can delete it.
